Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of this site and our AI tax research assistants.

Draft terms

This is a placeholder. We are finalizing our full terms of use. In the meantime, the points below summarize how we expect the site and assistants to be used.

No professional advice

Washington Tax Desk provides general information about Washington State tax. The website, blog posts, and AI assistants do not constitute tax, legal, or accounting advice and do not create a client relationship. Always confirm specific conclusions with a qualified tax professional before acting.

AI assistant use

Our AI assistants (including Delphi and Solomon) use language models that can be incorrect or out of date. Outputs are starting points for research, not authoritative conclusions. Do not enter confidential, privileged, or personally identifying information unless you are an engaged client. We may apply reasonable rate limits, including the guest-mode cap of 10 questions per 5 minutes.

Donations and professional help

Donations support operation of the public research tools, including hosting, AI costs, search infrastructure, and knowledge base maintenance. A donation is not payment for tax, legal, accounting, or consulting services and does not create a client relationship. If you ask for professional help, Washington Tax Desk may suggest a type of professional or introduce you to a third-party professional, but that professional is responsible for their own engagement terms, advice, fees, and licensing obligations.

Subscriptions and Pro access

A Washington Tax Desk subscription (WTD Pro) pays for access to the research tools and information — the AI assistants, search, saved research, document analysis, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance. It is not payment for tax, legal, accounting, or consulting services, and it does not create a client relationship. Washington Tax Desk is not a law firm or a CPA firm. Curated summaries and AI outputs are starting points for research, not individualized advice — confirm specific conclusions with a qualified professional before acting. Some described features are planned or in development and are marked accordingly; access is currently invite-based, and we confirm any pricing before a subscription begins.

Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to disrupt the service, scrape non-public content, evade rate limits, or use the site to send unlawful or harmful material.
